David Schenker studied law at the University of St. Gallen and has been working as attorney-at-law since 2007. From the start, David Schenker has specialised on negotiating and drafting of complex technology related contracts. He was able to build on experience he gained in the context of his employment in the legal department of an industrial company in Basel as well as a law firm in Australia. In 2013 he advanced his legal expertise by enrolling in a postgraduate program at the University of Western Australia which focused in particular on oil and gas law and oil and gas agreements. He was admitted to the degree of Master of Laws (LLM) in 2014.

David Schenker advises domestic and foreign companies, their respective in-house counsels or IT departments as well as public administrations, primarily in matters pertaining to information and communication technology as well as data protection law. He has years of experience in these areas and regularly drafts legal opinions. He handles cloud, development, licencing, know-how-transfer as well as outsourcing projects. Since his studies in Australia, he also works in energy law. He is a guest author of the practice handbook for in-house counsel, “Der Unternehmensjurist”, Gallmann/Gersbach (Hrsg.), Zürich/Basel/Genf 2016.
