Manuel Kreis, MLaw Advokat

Manuel Kreis is an associate with ADVOTECH ADVOKATEN.

He studied law at the University of Basel. After working as a lawyer for two years in a consulting firm and a bank, he was a court clerk in Arlesheim and completed a legal internship in Basel. Manuel Kreis was admitted to the bar in 2018, after which he worked as a research assistant in public economic administrative law and as a lecturer at the University of Lucerne, with research stays at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg and the University of Texas – School of Law in Austin. From 2021 to 2022, he worked as an associate in a commercial law firm in Zurich before joining ADVOTECH ADVOKATEN in August 2022. Manuel Kreis represents his clients – in an advisory and forensic capacity – primarily in the areas of construction and environmental law, criminal and administrative criminal law, and contract law.

Since 2022, Manuel Kreis has been serving as judge at the Basel-Stadt Court of Appeal on a part-time basis.

Since 2023 he has been Vice President of the Federal Valuation Commission, District 7.
